The Write Stuff for Boston Fundraising Auction to Benefit Victims and Families is now LIVE!

Hey there!

This is just a quick post to let you all know over the coming weeks, this blog is an active auction site, benefiting the victims and families of the Boston Marathon Bombings (for more info about this events, FAQs and to learn about the funds, click here).  It’s filled with wonderful and generous items from people in and around the writing community, but there are items for EVERYONE to bid on, not just members of the community.  New items will be posted every day (I am still accepting donations, too), so if you don't see something today or missed out on an item, check back daily as more items come up.  Make sure to get the word out there—let’s make this fundraiser a huge success.

I'll be posting almost daily, and working on any kinks and issues that come up.  I'm doing all of this alone (except for my husband, Bob who is helping me do background stuff), so please bear with me.  It may take me a little longer than usual to respond, but you won't be forgotten!

I'm still working on getting that caffeine drip up and running.

I owe a big debt of gratitude to everyone who has donated so far, and to all those that plan to bid.  Also to the people who have helped me spread the word and who’ve brought in donations from others.  And to my husband, for helping me organize everything.  From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.  You are all amazing, kind-hearted people, and it’s truly an honor to have you!  If only I could send out copious amounts of fine chocolates and wine to each of you…

Boston is not just my home; it’s a big part of my heart.  What happened was tragic and unfair, but this city and its people refuse to be brought down.

Together, we are…

  1. Yes we are BOSTON STRONG, my friend. I couldn't donate but plan to bid. :-) Thank you for setting this up.

My family and I already made a donation to a fund the hospital I work for set up for the little boy, Martin, as his grandmother just retired from there 2 years ago; but I am just as glad to bid and contribute here as well.

    BOSTON STRONG!!!!
