Day 3 Item #4: Editor TJ Loveless

The Write Stuff for Boston Auction Day 3
Item #4: Full comprehensive edit of the first 50 pages from Editor TJ Loveless

You are bidding on:
·         Full comprehensive edit of the first 50 pages of a novel
Opening Bid: $50
Auction Begins: Saturday 4/27 @ 10:00AM EDT
Auction Ends: Wednesday 5/1 @ 10:00PM EDT
About the full edit: - Full, comprehensive edit of first 50 pages of MS, as if author is on my desk and on the way to publication. It will be in .docx format with Track Changes. This includes, but not limited to, looking for redundancy, passive writing, inconsistencies, misspellings, punctuation, grammar, characterization, POV, world building, transition and plot issues.
- One page letter regarding the first 50 pages, the strengths and weaknesses.
- Must be formatted in Times New Roman, 1.5 space, one inch margins, 12 pt. Prefer in .doc, however, can work with .rtf. No title pages, keep break between chapter heading and writing at most two returns, and inserted page break between chapters. It's easier to work with a neatly formatted MS.
- Conversation with author regarding what experience they are looking to give their audience and how best to achieve prior to edit

Bio: T.J. Loveless is a copy/content editor for Curiosity Quills, LLC, often with Editor Kitty in attendance to ensure due diligence. Some of her past occupations include technical editor, correctional officer, heavy equipment operator, grant writing, lab assistant, co-author of two scientific papers regarding genetics and currently in the query trenches with Urban Fantasy Going Thru Hell. Writing novella series for self publication summer of 2013. Can often be found on Twitter laughing at her own mistakes in old MSs that get dusted off and held up as giggling examples of what not to do.
